~12% RD Accept Rate?

So, I heard that Davidson accepts about half of its class ED and the other half RD.

Assuming that's true, if the ED acceptance rate is about 40 % (which I've heard) and the overall acceptance rate is about 25%, wouldn't that mean that the RD acceptance rate would be somewhere around 11 or 12%? That's ridiculous

This is from the 08 common data set.

1133/4412 = 26% total admit rate
222/549 = 40% ED admit rate
therefore:
(1133 total - 222 ED)/(4412 total - 549 ED) = 24% RD admit rate

If you think about yield, the numbers make sense.

Mmm...I was told that last year it was 20% Regular Decision, which was lower than Cornell's overall and Duke's overall. Maybe I was told wrong, but I think someone in admissions said that.

I was also told that it was closer to 20% by someone in admissions.
