When do waitlisted students get notified??

I know someone who was wait-listed for the class of 2011 (graduated in '07). He got a call in the middle of his AP Euro exam. So...mid-May perhaps? But this year could be different...it's different every year, probably.

does anyone know the latest date that the colleges can give you notice of your admission (both acceptance and, more likely, rejection)?

I know Davidson has already had the deadline for the first round of wait-list-accepted students (that deadline was Monday), but I also know several kids that either wanted to go to somewhere else or they could not afford it...so Davidson might have to do another round.

Mid-way through June, Harvard contacted my friend to tell her that she was moved from the wait-list to the Z-list. That's pretty late...so I don't know if it will take Davidson that long...but you can count of the possibility of it being kinda late. If June passes and you still haven't heard anything, or even if we get midway through June, you might wanna give them a call, but they SHOULD tell you the verdict, one way or another.
