I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not Deep Springs allows students to defer for a year after acceptance. I would be surprised if they did, as I imagine each class is chosen so precisely and carefully -- but I would also be quite happy. I love the looks of Deep Springs, but I just can't bring myself to give up on a year abroad after high school.
I really, really doubt they'd let you defer acceptance, just because the makeup of apcom changes so drastically from one year to the next. You may be able to defer round two acceptance, which would help divide up your workload, but I just don't know. On the other hand, experience abroad would definitely juice up your essays, so it might be worth just waiting anyways.
