Deep Springs

Is Deep Springs the most selective undergraduate (2yrs) college while also being the least heard of. Obviously the Deep Spring applicant pool is so self selecting (no women, have to live and work in a very rural setting) My point is Deep Springs college is amazing.

Yeah. I first heard about Deep Springs when a friend mentioned it. Then, a few days later, I was sitting at my computer with nothing to do, so I decided to go to the Deep Springs website. Since then (about a month ago), I have been hooked on the notion of going to Deep Springs. It seems like such a great place! Do you think you're going to apply?

I've actually enrolled in the Plan II Honors program at the University of Texas @ Austin. I don't regret my choice. Deep Springs is great but as I realized it doesn't really foster the type of real world knowledge that I could gain from living in such a diverse city like Austin and such an amazing Honors Program like Plan II. The vast resources juxtaposed against the intimate and Ivy League feel of Plan II is hard to beat for me. It's not for everyone but damn can I say that I'm getting my moneys worth!
