As an accepted student, D got an invitation to visit Denison today -- with a note that they will pay half her airfare, up to $250! We were impressed.

Congrats! This invite was the clincher for ours. Sunny days, sunny faces, sunny places. So if yours is not susceptible to becoming a DU big buzzard, stay home.

More seriously, this reflects the U's aggressive strategy/posture for going after students they perceive will make an impact. Ours goes back tomorrow from break... She's happy. Go figure?

I know how you feel Whistle. DD1 asked to be dropped at her friend's house on the outskirts of Columbus Friday to spend some time with her (and she sees her at DU every day..) Oh well. She loves the place.
