Merit Scholarships and Stats
Would anyone who received a merit scholarship please post the amount and your stats? It would help the high school juniors who are starting to think about applying in the fall. Thanks!

1430 SAT
5 APs - 5's on the three exams taken
4 year letter in field hockey
17k merit scholarship
D is not going to Denison - but the school is a real gem in my book

The Paschal Carter Scholarship at Denison is full tuition. Denison has been very generous to my daughter. It is an excellent school academically and the campus is beautiful.

Congratulations gasdoc! Ind Mom--would you mind posting a couple of stats for your daughter? It's not to be nosy, it's just that I can't seem to find anywhere what the typical stats are for the full tuition scholarship. A scholarship would be necessary for us to afford Denison for my daughter. A full tuition one would be amazing.

My daughter is a National Merit Finalist, 34 ACT, approx. 4.3 GPA (weighted).
I believe Denison has several types of merit scholarships as well as offering need-based aid.

Indeed, they package it like few other institutions. Especially for attractive students. Last year DU was the only National LAC I institution among the top 10 FA awarding institutions. A few more in the next decile.
