June "O" for parents

Can anyone fill me in on the parents' activities and housing during June "O"? I understand about staying in the dorms, but do you stay with your child or other parents? I went with my D during the fall overnight program, will this be repetitive for me? Any insight will be appreciated.

My husband will be accompanying my daughter for one of the sessions in June. Parents don't stay with their kids if they both stay in the dorms.

Have you seen the schedule?

Don't know if that helps.

Thanks Zetesis, I had not seen that schedule. The fall overnight was excellent and I am glad I went. This program seems more focused and very practical so I will definitely try and make it.

Indeed, it's as valuable for tuition payers as tuition beneficiaries. It's informative.

One suggestion: IF your student is a potential worker, investigate this as much as you can. It seems campus jobs, while numerous, are very competitive.

I appreciated the June-O experience for parents last summer but wouldn't have stayed in a dorm for all the tea in China. Much more comfortable getting a hotel in Newark or Heath. I did find the sessions informative, although certainly didn't attend all that were offered. I saw it as a time to get to know the campus and area a little better, and to see the excitement grow in my soon-to-be college boy.
