| I was accepted at DePauw also, under Early Decision. Like your son, I was awarded a merit scholarship, though not quite as generous (guess I can only blame myself for that :/ ). I've always had an interest in journalism and electronic communications, so I plan on majoring in communications. From all I can tell and have been told, DePauw is the place for communications (well, for a small liberal-arts college). I am going to apply to the Media Fellows program, just as soon as I finish some reading for the essay. Anybody know anything about the fellows programs?
What I'm not so sure about, however, is going greek. I'd like to pledge a frat. I got the impression that there is pretty much a greek chapter for everyone, butI do have my reservations. I'm not a big jock sorta person, though I don't lock myself in my room with a computer and chemistry books on the weekends. So hopefully there will be a frat for me....If not, well--I don't know what I'll do. It's really greek, and I knew that before I applied........My parents (or at least my mom) aren't big on the idea.
Soooooooo, if anybody has any input, shoot. |
