Anyone heard anything from the college????

Ya, I got in December somthing and got a scholarship in January, I also interviewed for the honors program which did not go well, oh well, don't really feel like writing a huge honors thesis anyway. I know depauw recived a record number of applications this year so I'm sure its taking them awhile to get through them. I wouldn't really worry, I just heard early because I did their fastrack app. I'm sure if you have good stats you well get in! BTW, my acceptence letter was super thin, so don't freak out if you get a thin envalope! Hope that helps!

They may email you b/c your intel but they seem to like snail mail. I wouldn't worry though, I'm sure you will get in, they are big on diversity. I think the fact I'm not from the midwest even though I'm American helped me!

Do you know if they are generous towards intels with their finanancial aid??

I don't know specifically, but in general they give a lot of aid. Depauw is ranked high nationally for the amount of merit aid they give. They also have a lot of rich alums who give a lot back to the school, so they have a lot of money for their size. If you are thinking about really going there, talk to their financial aid office. My dad and I have been talking to them, and they are really nice, and accommodating . They really want the admited sudents to attened, so they really try to help. Just out of curiosity, what is the appeal of America for college? I know there are good schools here, but it seems the rest of the world is catching up if not surpassing America in a lot of academic feilds.

yea i heard back a while ago and yes they are very good with fin. aid. In fact, they told me to fax them any offers that other schools give me and they flew me up for an all expense paid overnite visit a week ago. I think the average need-based offer is close to 23k

Ya, I am. I'm mailing my deposit Tuesday! Has anyone recieved any housing info yet? I'm assuming I havn't because I have yet to confirm, but just wondering....
