Typical Weekend

What is a typical weekend like at Dickinson? I know that Carlisle is a small town, so are there still things to do on the weekends on and off campus? Do people drink a lot?

Sorry for all the questions :-)

It would be good if you heard from some students (I am a parent), but my D is a freshman at Dickinson this year. Today she called, she was on a shuttle on the way to Washington DC with other Dickinson students for some kind of swing dance club outing. She says she has felt no pressure to drink (roommate & the friends they have made do not seem to be a partying crowd, no idea if they are the exception or not). She mentioned she has quite a bit of homework this weekend (but I think she put some long term things assignments off until the election was over).

Update after talking with D - This weekend most of her dormmates (they all have the same Freshman Seminar) are off in New York city for some kind of outing related to their seminar. D also said there is some kind of club that offers swing dancing near campus, but not part of the college. She and her friends have been going there quite often.
