Congrats, kbl812. My D is loving her first year at Dickinson, so welcome to the Class of 2013.

she likes her classes--tough, challenging but interesting; she has made lots of friends---she wants to go back in January as soon as they open the dorms so that she can hang out with friends before classes start; she has joined several clubs and they do lots of things on and off campus; the food is good; and she finds the whole atmosphere on campus to be great.

Our daughter graduated from Dickinson and she loved it (met her future husband there, too). I always got a chuckle out of her characterization of Carlisle as "the home of the wailing fire siren."

the smoke detectors do seem to be sensitive, lol. My D is in Drayer, and they haven't had too many problems, but Adams, next door, has frequent visits from the FD---usually burnt popcorn or overheated hair straighteners.
