I was really surprised that I got deferred and it kind of completely shot my confidence since my top choices are Brown, Vassar, or Tufts. Now, I just feel lucky that I'm in love with my safeties. I, too, would be interested to know the stats of those that got in. Congratulations Qwerkita!!

Hmmm my basic stats were
SAT: 2140
ACT: 32
GPA: 4.2 (weighted)
Recs: One was beyond amazing, the other I have no idea
Essay: My common app one was pretty abstract/creative, which is the only way I know how to describe it, so maybe the problem was there?? My supplementary essay, I thought was good, but no one else read it so...
I did apply for financial aid though, and I wish I hadn't, at least for Dickinson because we really weren't expecting anything anyway. Hopefully I (and everyone else deferred) will have better luck for regular decision.

Well, I am not at all familiar with the US admissions process, so I have no idea what to say. But, I am real scared about my own chances.

I also got in as a John Dickinson Scholar!
These are my basic stats:
SAT: 2320
SAT IIs: 710; 770; 780; 800
GPA: 3.56/4.0
ECs: founded 2 clubs, competitive ballroom dancer, exchange student, part-time job, theatre, voice lessons, did an independent research project, had an internship, helped run a soup kitchen, etc.
I'm thinking it's the SATs and ECs that did it for me...
