Dickinson v. Gettysburg

What's the difference between Dickinson and Gettysburg Colleges?

I suggest you grab a college guide at Barnes & Noble or Borders and read up. The best guides, IMHO, are Fiske and the Princeton Review.

Frankly, there isn't much daylight between them. Visit both; take the tour; sit in on a class; then, if you're still unsure flip a coin.

Boy do I disagree with Plainsman on this one. There is a hugely different feel to Dickinson and Gettysburg. Gettysburg has an almost "southern" quality, and it is very heavily Greek-oriented. Dickinson is much more invested in the idea of a global education. By all means visit - then decide which you prefer. I doubt you'll need to flip a coin.

Different but both agreeable

My son visited both Dickinson and Gettysburg on a weekend. He liked both schools very much, maybe Gettysburg slightly more. He said they both werte similiar but had a different feeling about them.
Surprisingly, he did say he preferred both Gettysburg and Dickinson to Bucknell U.

He said he just didn't get "that feeling" at Bucknell

I agree Junipner. Gettysburg is very greek focused and they control most of the social life.

I thought frats/sororities were about as big at Dickinson as at Gettysburg.

The numbers who go Greek at Dickinson are somewhat smaller than at Gettysburg, but I also believe more of campus life revolves around frat and sorority parties.

I meant to say more of Gettysberg campus life revolves around Greek life.
