chances?

asian - american [filipino] currently a junior at Long Island, NY public high school.

GPA: 3.5 [raised from a 3.3 from freshman year]

ranking: top 20% of 350
SAT I: 1690 [m:520, v: 590, w: 580]

SAT IIs: world history - 620, us history - 590, math - 520
[i think i shouldn't include these on my app.]

APs: World History [4], US History & Enlgish Lang [this year, hoping to get no less than 4], Psychology, English Lit, European History, Economics [next year]

college courses: french [6 credits], pre calc [6 credits]

courseload: was in all academic classes in 9th grade but was bumped to honors classes in science, history, and english in 10th grade. weak in math and bio [because they're not honors classes, but still recieved high grades]. great in chem and physics. history and english - no less than 90 every year. band all 4 years [playing two instruments - flute & oboe]

EC: Varsity tennis [conference champs], varsity track [conference champs], honor society, volunteer tutoring, NYSSMA participant [music festival on which i'm graded, have scored very well], volunteer assistant teaching handicapped kids CCD. [catholic, outside of school activity]

awards: Spirit Award in Band [freshman and soph. year]

You have a very good chance of getting in. I don't know about how much money though if you need it.They can be very generous, but the top money(more than half tuiton) is given to scores of 1300 and above. I know of 2 1400+ that got about full. They also like diversity also and are looking to balance the male/female ratio with more men too and that is an added plus. It's a nice school, but small if you don't mind that aspect.

I've been taking honors ever since freshman year
my grades are very unstable. freshman year bad (well, 3 As and the rest Bs anyway), sophmore year straight As, junior year mainly As (like 2 Bs or something), this year...er. 5 As, 2 Bs, one C (don't shoot me! AP Chem is hard...)
SATs...here comes the horrible part...1640. Gasp! But I'm almost certain I've gone up because I retook it and the first time I was really tired.
So...yeah. Oh, and I'm African American, if that helps. And a girl.
