drew's priority application

hey everyone!

i applied to drew university through their priority application. i am absolutely enthralled with the school; it is my number one school by far. i am wondering if any of you know when the decision for priority applicants will be out? i hope all is well!

My son had an early application (no obligation) and knew by Christmas.

I called and asked and was told 3-4 weeks after they receive everything.

UGH. my application was open for review on October 25th. I should have heard by now! i have no idea what to do. ughhhhhhhhhh. This is the second time colleges "priority" decisions are delayed for me. UGH. UGH. UGH.

My son's app was opended Oct. 23 and he hasn't heard either. It is also one of his top choices. Their website says something about Dec. 19 as the date all priority apps will know, so I guess we just have to be patient until then. Good Luck!

P.S. This is the 3rd time priority is delayed for son. I guess schools underestimate amount of time it actully will take.

really? decemeber 19th? where does it say that on drew university's site? i have been on it all weekend, compulsively, and could not find when they would announce their decision.

i would go crazy if it was the 3rd time priority delayed me. ursinus college in collegeville, pa delayed me... they promised a decision in 4 weeks... took 6 hellish weeks. luckily, i got in. however, drew university is my number one. eek.

Lasercat, it might have changed, but it was close to Xmas for us 2 years ago, the 24th or that week. They sent it almost on the day too.

Laser, actually I couldn't find Dec. 19 date on the website either when I went back and checked. I did find an email that Drew sent with the priority app itself. It said if all supporting materials were received by Nov. 15 candidate would be notified by Dec. 19 (but I also do remember that admissions told him it would be about 4 wks once everything was received ). My son also had a delayed response from Ursinus, but did finally get in. They are both top choices for him and both very good schools. Congrats on getting into Ursinus and best of luck with Drew!

My S was sent an e-mail a couple of weeks ago stating that the early response program was being extended until (I think it was) Dec. 20th.

jillyo- so weird that we both had delayed acceptances for ursinus! so, i called drew university this morning when i had one of my free periods... apparently, i am suppose to get a letter this week or very soon. so i guess that means it is coming!!! today, out of nowhere, i got accepted at allegheny college in meadville, pa. ahh. college admissions is really intense. anyway, i wish the best of luck to your son. hopefully, we will be hearing good news soon!

jillyo- i didnt hear yet. hopefully, when my mom picks me up today to go and tutor at the PERC, maybe she will tell me Drew finally sent something. I was going to call them yesterday, again, but I hesitated because I did not want to come off like the creepy, obsessed applicant. Anyway, please tell me how the call goes!! I AM SO NERVOUS!!!!!!

They went out today in the mail. I'm more nervous then he is I think.
