Transferring out of Drexel?

My family have been pressuring me to strongly consider transferring out of Drexel recently. The reasoning behind this is because they are the ones funding my education and they really can't afford to pay for me to attend this school. Does anyone know how long I have to wait untill I can transfer out? I most likely will have to finish out the entire school year, correct? I can't just attempt to transfer after a term or two? Also, does anyone have information on changing majors? I know classes haven't even started yet but I really want to major in a different field.
(By the way, I only applied to two schools because I procrastinated like crazy. This left me with limited choices on which universities to attend which is the reason why I decided on Drexel for my freshman year anyway. It is a good school and I like it but it is not worth paying 23 k out of pocket for 3 more years, imo.)
