Got off waitlist??

I got a call today from Duke admissions saying that I got off the waitlist. Before I cancel my registration at another school, how do make sure I'm admitted to Duke and that it's not a hoax? Duke didn't send me an email or anything. Should I just be patient and wait for something in the mail?

Also, I've spent the past month acquainting myself with Cornell University, thinking I would be there next fall. However, I had originally wanted to go to Duke more. Does anyone have any information about Duke that would seduce me away from Cornell, besides that Durham is in a much less rural area and has better weather? For example, anyone know the class size for an intro class at Duke?

Thanks a bunch

As far as cancelling enrollment at Cornell, I'd definitely wait until you got the packet and probably even until Duke recognizes you as enrolling. No need for a stupid mistake to keep you out of one of these institutions. And be happy, it's probably not a hoax...Duke has been calling people from the waitlist if you look around the board (myself included)

Geez, how many people are there in this EXACT situation? You're the second person (other than me) that I've talked to today that was enrolled at Cornell and got off the Duke waitlist.

Hopefully, my thread can be of some help:
