along with a bunch of other people who wrote on this, i'm an incoming freshman struggling with picking my courses

i'm in Pratt right now but i'm not 100 % certain that i will end up majoring in engineering. i'm fairly sure that the only AP credits i will get will be in psychology, english, and maybe spanish. i'm pretty sure i have to take egr 53L, chem 21L, and math 31L. i don't have to take writing 20 until second semester so would it be a good idea to take a seminar as my humanities credit so if i decide to switch into trinity, i will have that requirement out of the way? does that work?

Yes, if you want to leave your options open for a transfer to trinity, then it would be wise to take a seminar.

Specifically:

"If transferring into Trinity College: I will be expected to fulfill the Trinity College Small Group Learning Experience Requirement but not the First-Year Seminar Requirement. I also understand that, of the 34 credits needed to graduate, no more than six credits may be taken in the University’s professional schools (e.g., business, engineering, medicine, and
environment)."

My mistake, I guess you don't actually need a seminar the first year.
