Any chance at duke?not even 0.001%?...sigh...

Applications are in for Duke(econ), Cornell(engineering; alternate: economics) and Carnegie Mellon(Business); and I think I just flushed 210 bucks down the toilet lol, do I have any chance at all?

Competitive northern California high school. Ranked 300th in the nation by US news.
---Un-weighted 3.73
---Weighted GPA 4.05 - top 6.25% of class
AP taken so far:
---AP computer science AB
---AP Human Geography
---AP Art History
---AP psychology
---All honor math classes
Community college classes( all UC transferable)
---History 120 ( us history) -A
---English 122 – A
---Computer applications -A
---Chinese 118 or something -A
AP this year
---AP econ
---AP gov
---AP Calc

Scores:
---SAT 1—2000
---SAT 2
---Math : 730
---Chinese: 800
---Physics: 680

ECs:

---Track 4 years ( by senior year) 2 year jv, 2 year varsity
---VP of mechanical design, and PR officer for our school’s robotics club.
Each year we build an AUV (short for Autonomous Underwater vehicle) to compete in the AUVSI’s international AUV competition (sponsored by the US naval warfare center).
Only high school team in an all university competition.
In 2007 we placed 13th out of 30 universities; Beating MIT, and DUKE University.

---Co founded a web design/web communication company; I am currently the Project manager.
Our clients include 6 tech start ups in the Silicon Valley(one with a over 6 million in venture capital), and many local businesses.

---150+ volunteer hours.

---I have safeties meanly UCs lol

It looks like you have a good chance, especially at Carnegie Mellon, with a good GPA and a difficult courseload. Then again, admissions can be a total fluke. Good Luck!

Probably isn't the best place to put a Chances thread (very few people check Duke 2012)

you have as good a chance as everyone else

Your outside activities actually look really good. It is just that you might want to pull up your SAT scores? They seem kinda low for Duke's standards. It is not too late to retake it and submit the score to Duke now. On the other hand, I know some people who scored around the same as your did (ok, maybe a little higher), but they got in. In the end, it all depends on whether the admissions officers like your general "package". I am pretty sure that Duke doesn't toss away applications based on a SAT score/GPA cutoff. Hope that helps.
