Legacy Letter

Parents received a letter today letting us know that the legacy status of the applicant had been noted and was on the "radar screen" at admissions. At their info session, they said that admissions was less than twice the rate for normal people, like 14% regular and 18-20% alumni family. BIG difference!!

I wonder if this means anything? Because my grandma received this letter, which referenced me, but she received no letter that referenced my cousin who also applied.

hmm?

Perhaps your cousin did not list her? I know that in ds's case he ran out of room for family who went to Duke, so the last 2 were carried to another page. That is interesting that the grandparents get letters about applications!

You folks who have family who have gone to other schools have legacy status at more than one school. DS only has one shot at legacy admit!
