I submitted the common app online the day after Christmas. I checked my application status checklist today and it shows that they have received everything but my common app. Since it is sent electronically, is it normal for it not to show up on my checklist yet?

It takes a few days. As long as it says that it was downloaded on your common app homepage you're fine

How long does it take to recieve your password to check your application status? I created an account on the site last year (the D) and I'm really anxious to check my app status, but still can't login to check. I guess I'm just impatient, since I submitted my common app on Dec 27th (though I submitted the Form A supplement on Dec 31, so maybe this is why?) and still haven't recieved the "Applicaton Reciept Letter." Should I be calling or flipping out? How long did it take for everyone else to get theirs?

D submitted the applications on 12/30 and received the letter with access code today. She checked the status online and her application was complete. The letter was sent out on 1/9. I was amazed by Duke's fast response. If you haven't got it, it should be pretty soon. They are very good at it.

Should I be worried? I already have my password because I sent in my supplement months ago, but when I checked my status today, everything has been received except my Common App still is not checked off. On the Common App website it says that status is "Downloaded." According to Duke's website, it says that you can call after Feb. 2 if things are still missing, but that is still weeks away. Does anyone else have this problem?

pretty much the same thing happened to me. i sent out the common app by mail on dec. 24, but they didn't check it off on my application status until earlier this week. i would try calling them this week if it doesn't show up soon. as long as you submitted the app on time, you shouldn't worry too much. if they still don't have record of it, then they'll probably just have you send a new one and it won't be a big deal.

I know we're talking about Duke here, but I called Reed College to see why they haven't indicated receipt of my common app and they said they're still processing stuff turned in from the middle of December.

I sent my app and all the materials in before the dec 10 date. I got confirmation by mail and my login for the application status site. So far, it says that none of the materials have been received...Should I be worried or wait a little more until they process everything? I mean, I got a confirmation letter that my application has been received...

Well, it's unlikely that all your stuff would be missing, so probably they are still processing stuff and haven't updated your status.
