Well, I didn't turn down Duke solely on financial aid, but the low financial aid did influence my decision.

It was the exact opposite for me - Duke's financial aid was fantastic in my case and was really the tipping factor for my decision. No other school gave me as much aid as Duke did, not even in-state schools or other top schools that I got into. My need alone was 49k :P

That being said, I can't wait for Duke, especially because it's nearly free :P

Yes, I meant that you didn't turn it down JUST because of financial aid, but financial aid was definitely one of the answers.

I meant "does it matter" to Predator. From your posts and threads, Predator, it definitely seems like you're trying to find others like you. I'm not sure what your motive behind that is, but it seems almost like you're trying to find others like you, to feel like you're not the only one. The thing is, you aren't the only one, but on top of that - it doesn't matter even if you are. I don't know if you officially said yes to UMich or not, but if you have, I'd say to just accept the fact that you're going there and move on. It's the best way to keep from hurting - making threads like this won't help you move on. If you haven't officially accepted, I still say this type of thread is somewhat pointless because you have to do what you have to do in cases like this. What someone else did doesn't really matter.

Also, I'm REALLY not meaning to be harsh or short or anything - if it comes off that way, take it to mean that I'm absolutely fed up with reading about linear transformations for my math final than that I'm annoyed at you. I'm just trying to say if you are trying to find people like you so you don't feel alone, you really oughtn't be doing that, but rather just moving on.
