Are you allowed to cancel AP's?

My school doesn't require its students to take an AP, even if the course is an AP course (bc. the curriculum is designed independent of AP standards). In addition, I've already taken the two AP's (last year) I want to exempt out of at Trinity, so I really don't want to take these AP's. Would they care if I cancelled AP scores? Also, my school advises people to cancel unless they are sure they'll get a 4 or a 5, because we're sort of a magnet school and we have to keep impressive stats.

you can cancel right after you take the test. call collegeboard or fax them a letter with your signature saying that you want to, but do it early because once they graded it, i don't think you can take it off your score report.

honestly, i don't think colleges will care about low AP scores. by then, you're in already!
