This coming from a magazine that has been described by a writer as "filled..with images of narcissistic young men sporting fashionable clothes and accessories"

Talk about an ironic perversion of the phrase "to be fair."
I know that it's fun to bash Duke and all, but at this point, bringing out that kind of crap to "substantiate" your claims just makes you look petty and a complete douch3. So why don't we be a bit more reasonable and mature and return to a logical discussion of Duke and student life there in line with the original topic.

Well, actually, my source is the Duke Chronicle. Your school newspaper apparently found the GQ article to be a newsworthy item. Must've been a slow news day...

| Just do a search on some of boards here...lots of people consider Duke to be "******y". Doesn't mean that they are right or wrong, but that's just a common perception shared by some non-Dukies.

Then, go back to the first page and read my ENTIRE post in its ORIGINAL context. I never claimed to get into HYP. Ever. IG chopped my post in half to make it seem like I did. That's pretty effing low (but, of course, we all know he's an absolute snake whom no one likes anyway). By "my case," I am clearly and specifically referring to MY ANECDOTES, MY TWO FRIENDS whom I clearly and specifically mention in the post. Ridiculous. You Duke-haters make me sick.

Also you seem to use the words "many," "common," "some," etc quite loosely.
IG: Unless I'm much mistaken, your post count on first page of this thread alone is higher than Hookem's post count for this entire thread...
An interesting way to butcher Shakespeare though!
Also, the Chronicle is an independent entity from Duke, what they find newsworthy or not is completely irrelevant to Duke itself. Additionally, I can only find mention of the ranking on the blogs on the Chronicle site...hardly what I call news...
No matter what you said, as I've said before, the fact that you believe GQ is a relevant authority for quotation says enough.
