Love at first sight

I never realized that people could fall in love with schools at first sight. This happened to my son at Duquesne. He's visited over a dozen schools and isn't very emotional so this is all very odd. Even though my son didn't get into the P.A. program, he got a letter saying to pick another major. It listed about 10 majors. He called admissions to ask them what qualifications were needed for various majors and the person told him that he was already qualified or that major would not have been mentioned in the letter. Very strange, IMHO! He picked business, sent it back, and received the acceptance today. He has to decide if the major is more important than the school because he did get in to two other P.A. programs.

Why doesn't he pick nursing? They have a great nursing program. he can then get his master's - many opportunities and many men are in nursing now.

Can he apply to the PA program later or is it once and done? Is he still interested in medicine?
I agree the list of 10 majors is kind of odd.

There isn't much of a chance to get in the P.A. program after freshman year. I don't think nursing would interest him, but I'll certainly mention it to him. Most P.A.'s are women, too, we've noticed.
