| Theatre Arts For those of you in the know (parent/D/S), would you have considered the theatre arts progrom if not accepted for the BFA program but ultimately performance is your goal? There was at least one person who auditioned again the following year from the TA program. Thanks for your thoughts. |

| LexisMom -
Is your D a sophomore at Elon or in HS? Looking back on your previous posts, it looks like she is already there, in which case, are you Alexa's mom? |

| LEXISMOM and LIZMT (and any other CA acceptees)
We live a couple minutes east of Malibu. We fly to North Carolina out of either Burbank or LAX.
Did either of the other 2 girls from CA attend orientation this past weekend?
And when did you each audition?
SO HAPPY for everyone!! YAY!! We should have a SoCal celebration party! |

| KMAC Congratulations to your D! Yes, let's plan a party for our kids--somewhere centrally located. Where do you live in Northern California? |

We auditioned on October 26, and attended orientation on March 14-15.
She was able to "pre-register" for classes. You should see how cool the classes are for the first semester Musical Theatre! I think I want to go back to college.
It is kind of weird, I went to high school in California and then went to North Carolina for college, too--just like my D!! History repeats itself, I guess. But my college (Duke) wasn't as warm and nurturing as Elon (or as pretty!) |

| Ok, so we basically gave up all hope for Elon because of all the forum buzz about getting phone calls. Well, it is Tuesday and there is a message on our phone from Cathy McNeela to have my D call her. My D tried both phone numbers and just got a message each time. Would there be any other reason for Cathy to call my D? Did my D leave her dance shoes at the school? You know, all the things that run through one's head as we wait. Can we assume the best? |
