My D visited Elon last April. She loved the school and immediately said it was her top choice. Now she is waffling a little bit. She really wants to go to a school that has sports teams she can cheer for. She currently attends a small all girls school and feels that she missed out on this experience in high school.
Do students go to the football games and the basketball games? Is there lead up to the games and general excitement about them?
Everyone goes to the football games and tailgates. Basketball games are more scarcely attended, but not by much. Elon's school pride is incredibly high, with most sporting events heavily attended and students often wearing their Elon apparel around campus.
My D just started at Elon and attended an all girls high school. She reported that she has gone to all of the football games (so far) and had fun at tailgating parties. School spirit, according to her, seems very high. The people on her floor have really bonded and they go to many things together (soccer games, football games, plays, etc.). Hope this helps.
