If I applied early decision to Elon will they tell me if i got accepted before the 12/01 notification date? Do they usually send the rejections on 12/01?

It's online first, but some chats of "new members" said they were told early that they got in, but none was ever confirmed. No established member said they were notified earlier. "As I recall" (from last year).

So its possible that if i were accepted early decision i might know of my acceptance before, or on the actual notification deadline?

I don't know if y'all consider me an "established member" but I can confirm that some ED people were notified earlier than 12/01 last year. The earliest I heard of anyone getting their acceptance was the night before Thanksgiving.

thanks thats pretty helpful, but i'm still wondering if elon tells the majority of the people on the 12/01 deadline if there accepted. I'm really nervous that i won't get a call before that date and know they rejected me..........

yes, usually when a college says they notify you 12/01, they notify you 12/01.

bartshire... I am on the same page as you. I applied early decision. I am really anxious. I hear that basically you could hear on the 25th but you probably will not hear until the 1st at midnight. All the admissions people will say that they don't call, but a few people say that they got calls.

Wednesday 25th- could hear
Thursday 26th- Probably not because its thanksgiving
Friday 27th- Small chance
Saturday 28th- even smaller chance then friday
Sunday the 29th- Probably not admissions is closed
Monday the 30th- At this point you should just wait until midnight!

I hear that it could be up a little early on Monday too!

I remember last year that there were several people that posted early that they got "the call" from Elon and were accepted. Later these were the same people who reported that did not get into Elon. Go Figure... Anyhow I'm just saying that if you hear that others are receiving calls and your not, don't feel bad. It may or may not be totally factual.
