Transfer Students?

Does anyone have experience auditioning for Emerson as a transfer student? I'll be a freshman at Berklee College of Music this year, but i'm hoping to transfer to Emerson as it was my first choice school...

any information about the program would be wonderful!

I do not believe that Emerson allows transfers into the BFA program.

However, as a Berklee student, you can cross register and take some classes at Emerson. My D's friend at Emerson is taking classes at Berklee too.

I'm not certain about whether Emerson allows applicants to transfer into the BA Acting program. I do know that the BA Acting program is BY AUDITION. I have heard that Emerson doesn't take transfers for the theater program but am not sure if that pertains to the BA Acting program as well as the BFA ones.

Again, I encourage you to look at cross registering for some courses at Emerson, as a Berklee student. My D's close pal was originally in the BFA in MT Program at Emerson but has changed direction/interests and chose to switch to BA Acting and to take courses at Berklee in the kind of music she prefers. By the same token, perhaps you can study music at Berklee and take some acting classes at Emerson. Look into that as these colleges are part of a consortium.
