Writing, Lit, & Publishing?

Okay so here's the thing. I would love to be a publisher or work for some sort of publishing company in the future. So this program at Emerson intrigues me because of all the internships available in the area.

But I'm from Texas, and I'm only allowed to go out of state (b/c of financial issues) if the college is really good and well renown for it's program. So I guess I would apply for honors. But my question is, is it worth it to apply to Emerson for this program or are there other colleges which I should keep in mind that would be better to go in?

My stats:
SAT: 2120
GPA: (I can't remember, but I'm ranked 49 in my class out of 700 people, top 10%)
EC: I've mainly just done theatre and have participated tons in that. I've been to one English competition and have done some community service.

I'd say it's not worth it. There are better schools than Emerson. Although i would think you'd get a lot of fin aid considering ur rank and SAT score.
