Scholars Weekend is Friday, March 2nd through Saturday, March 3rd. Each nominee goes through a group discussion, individual interview, and another group interview. It is not two straight days of simply interviewing. The two days are broken up by meals, events on campus, optional tours, and the students are invited to the Spring play and a social Friday evening as well.
You will learn whether or not you become a semifinalist in late January via the U.S. Postal Service. From a pool of approximately 350 semifinalists, Emory will select and notify scholarship finalists in late February. Emory will bring these finalists to campus for interviews, which usually take place in late March.
Has Emory stopped offering overnights to admitted students? I see from some posts in 2005 that they were doing it then, but it's not mentioned on their website that I can find and wasn't offered in my daughter's invitation to an admitted students program.
So sorry I haven't been on in a while, finals time is brutal this semester. Yes Emory has stopped offering overnights to RD students, what GemiBaby is talking about is Essence of Emory a diversity-aimed weekend for underrepresented minority students.
Hope you are surviving finals. I was wondering if there is a laundry service at Emory? Can you give me the name of the company if they have one, so I can find out how it all works? I was wondering how often they pick up, deliver and cost? Do you know anyone that uses them? Do they wreck stuff or lose clothes?
