Emory doesn't set up overnight visits. But my daughter who is now a freshman at Emory found them fun and helpful at other colleges. If you like, I can have you contact her and I'm sure she would let you stay over in her dorm room with her.

I went to the Preview Emory and found it very worthwhile. We had the chance to ask students and faculty any questions we had and were given a comprehensive tour of the campus with a special emphasis on one of the following: Performing Arts, Business, and Science.

thanks so much. we were going to go down thursday night and stay til friday afternoon in atlanta but i think we are just going down friday then driving up to wake forest. so i guess no overnight for me :-(.

but my visit to emory is important because im considering applying early decision and i really want to make sure i like it. do you think sitting in on a class helps at all?? how much does ed raise your chances?

I enjoyed sitting in on two classes, but I don't thing this should affect your decision drastically. One class, no matter how good or bad, is usually not representative of the entire academic culture. On the other hand, if you sit in on a class you know you'll be taking and the prof is terrible, then maybe you shouldn't go ED. I think sitting in on a class is a good thing to do; just keep it in perspective.

I haven't yet. I'm a senior.
