Here's some info for you about February 1st...

When I visited Emory a few weeks ago, an assistant dean of admissions told me a little "secret."

"Usually we say that admissions decisions are posted online on Opus on February 1st at approximately 7AM. We feel that this is the best time to post so that students can look with their parents in the morning before school or work. However, this year, we will be posting at midnight, so you'll be able to check your decision then."

The assistant dean of admissions told me that he had told no student of this yet, so this should probably be news to you guys. But gosh, he certainly worked me up enough so that if I don't get in, I'll be a littttttttle upset :-\

So that's February First, 12 AM EST... 20 hours, 11 minutes. Nervous, much.

they did the same thing for ED 1. Emory website said the decisions will be out 7AM of DEC 16th, but it really was out on 12:01AM DEC 16th. I'm pretty certain EDII will follow the same pattern. You guys will be able to check midnight, NOT tonight, but tomorrow.

that means it's 12am tonight. LIke in 8 hrs. Because Emory says Feb 1st, and in the past it's Feb 1st 7am. But you said ED I was really out 7 hrs before that (12:01am), so that means ED II will also be out 7 hrs before, which is 12:01 AM tonight.

Eh..sorry guys

Emory's Website:

Early Decision II Decisions and Information

Decisions for Early Decision II applicants will be available online through the OPUS system, and will be posted by 7:00 am Saturday, February 3, 2007. Decisions will remain posted until February 16, 2007. We will also mail decision letters on Thursday, February 1. Please note that all transfer application decisions will be mailed.

That means you can check 12:01 am saturday, they only say 7am cuz they don't want everyone rushing to their computers at midnight and overloading their servers or something.

now that's just stupid, if the decisions are out, why don't they just put them on OPUS tonight?

i'm not sure... that says they will be posted BY then. I'm still checking at 12:01 tomorrow morning though, because I was told that decisions would be posted on Opus at that time on February 1st.

So what's it going to be? 12:01 AM (EST) tonight? or Saturday at 7 in the morning? I mean honestly, they should give us our decisions tonight at 12:01. They have strict deadlines, and therefore they should have strict notification dates.
