INSPIRE program at Emory

Has anyone else received an invitation to apply to this program? Does anyone have any information as to what this program is about?

I also got this too - one of the requirements to apply was like taking 2-3 AP science/math courses? I don't quite remember...

Anyone else get this? I've never heard of this before.

Ok that kind of sucks... haha. My school limits on the number of APs that one can take in high school to five (2 in jr. 3 in sr.) sigh.

do it/apply. There's no harm in doing it. It's a great way to meet important people starting your first year.

Even if you haven't been invited to apply, see if you meet the requirements: Emory College | Current Students | Excellence & Achievement | INSPIRE

If you do, apply...you've got nothing to lose!

I'm in the prorgram and it has been amazing. The first year is great and you have a group of friends as soon as you get there. Plus Dean Ram is amazing and it helps a lot to be close with a Dean. As a result off being in INSPIRE I've meet President Carter, finished all my pre-med requirements in two years, and have gone on some awesome camping trips. There is no down side.

SEWcurious - how different is it from the usual premed workload? Is it a lot more work? Is it competitive within INSPIRE? Did you immediately jump into research freshman year? Could you specifically name opportunities you had as a freshman/sophomore that other people not in INSPIRE could not take advantage of?

Is it a 2 or 4-year program?
