i don't think it snows because i read somewhere that the average temperature for atlanta in january is like 38f or 3c which is not cold enough for any snow. and yes it's pretty dang hot during summer :P
it snowed like 3 times (a good amount but not significant)...which was wierd. ive been living in a suburb for ten yrs and the weather by far this yr is very very strange...we normally get like no snow though...so i dont know what it will be like in the fall, just dont come to atlanta with only tank tops and shorts lol (although these are immensely helpful in the summer)...get like one coat and u should be fine...hope the helps...
Right on Lulu, i've lived in ATL for 11years and no one should ever count on GA weather. It will let you down and ruin your life on a regular basis.
For Ex. April 2008 one day, 78 F... sounds good huh, the next day a high of 48 F.
Be prepared, if not just go to a nearby walmart and get some cheap jackets.
