The emails contain a link to sign up for the wait-list despite the fact that the deadline for it has passed. Reading between the lines, does it mean that they have fewer wait-list applicants/enrollments than expected, and that we have a better chance of being taken off the wait-list?

Where did you read that aj? I am not giving up yet! They are still sending me emails about the wait list. If they were almost done with the process, why would they continue doing that?

I just called the Emory office, and the admissions officer said they had "just barely started on it"

I don't know what to think.

Dear ****,

We have been notified by our Dean of Admission that we can admit a small number of students from our waitlist. I am thrilled to be able to offer you a spot in this year’s freshmen class!

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hmm...i got it at 4:40 PM, EST.
Funny story, I wrote Seth Miller an email, and he kinda blew it off by saying, wait two minutes, i have to send you good news! and then the email came. Don't worry Anna Molly, I've got my fingers (and toes) crossed for you!

so, as i observe the trend here...the waitlist is still ongoing.
i was thinking about this earlier and i think that it would make sense for the admissions board to notify students about every two days since that is the number of days students have to respond to their offer from the waitlist.
pretty good, no?
and, anyone know about when it would be finished up?
