Emory Materialistic

I have to decide between Emory and Tufts in the next couple of days. One of the things holding me back about Emory is that I heard it is materialistic...that you need money because most people there go out to expensive restaurants/clubs a lot. Can anyone tell me if this is true??

Not true. Our son is frugal, never has any money and manages quite well. Although he does not have a need for high great restaurants, etc. He loves Emory!

Do a search -- there was a very recent thread on this -- just a month or so ago -- with several responses.
