Your GPA is, as you know, perfect. Your SAT scores are a bit below the norm. Frankly, your ECs are probably below average as well. I think that your first generation/low income background could make for a compelling argument for admittance. Whatever you do, don't mention "Desperate2BBruin" when you apply to colleges other than UCLA! By the way, Emory and UCLA are both fabulous colleges, but I would not say that they are similar.
