BA vs. BS in Computer Science

Hello everyone,
I am a very confused high school student who is beginning his college application process to universities. I am applying as a computer science major, and recently discovered that there are actually two different types of obtainable degrees: One as a Bachelor of Arts and one as a Bachelor of Science. Now I know that traditionally a BA involves less courses and usually allows one to double major or minor in something else. Although I do plan on minoring in Political Science, I believe that I could handle the coursework for both a Computer Science BS major. Earning a degree as a BA would be easier, and might allow me to minor in something else, or even change my minor to a double major. However, what I would like to know is if this will have any future job implications? Is a BA degree in Computer Science worth less than a BS degree in the real world?

Depends on the college, the different degrees' course and curriculum content, and what employers know or believe about the differences.

In some niche areas (e.g. patent law), it may matter if one is ABET accredited and the other is not.

Around here, it does not really make a difference in general for computer software jobs, but the main producer of BA degrees in CS around here is one of CS' "big four" schools.
