Difference between Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Science?

Do employers care if your degree is a Bachelor of Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering? Is there any difference?

I just noticed that one of the schools that my daughter has applied to (Vanderbilt) just offers the BE degree.

Thanks

No real difference. Actually each school can name their degree whatever they want. Also, Vandy gives B.A. degrees for many of their Math/Science majors but the coursework is very similar to many B.S. programs at only schools.

PLUS....Vandy is very well-regarded anyway.
