civil engineering questionssssssssssssssssss

has anybody here transferred from a ccc to ucla/ucb as a civil engineering major???

i want to know the chances of getting in (gpa, and some things that may help)

alsoooooooooo, how difficult is it to get into these schools, let's say with another major such as business/econ/poli sci, and then changing to civil engineering???

people who've done any of these things SPEAK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you talking about transferring from a two-year college into civil engineering, from a non-engineering and non-scientific degree track?

...particularly transferring into Berkeley or UCLA?

It will take you more than two years. It may take you four, and you may, in essence, be starting over in order to complete the degree requirements.

Also, Berkeley's like... one of the top couple of programs in the nation when it comes to civ programs, and UCLA's up there, too. It's tough even for folks *not* transferring in.

If this is just a whim, I'd reconsider... It's going to be a really uphill battle and your previous coursework will probably not transfer, aside from a statistics course or two.

Because there's no overlap of required coursework.
