Opportunities for a Mechanical engineer

Hey...
Is mechanical engineering an ideal major to get into the field of Nanotechnology??

And what other interesting opportunities are available for a mechanical engg. major other than in the automobile industry??

We have a nanotechnology emphasis choice in our ME program here. I think mechanical is probably your best bet if that is what your looking to do, unless you go the materials engineering route or something.

you can do anything, i'm an analytics consultant. I don't think there's a more versatile bachelor's degree.

My construction management firm is always looking for mechanical engineering grads. ME's have lots of very different opportunities... much moreso than any other engineering major IMO.
