Taking Semester Off for Abroad Internship

I applied for an internship in China that would be from next July through November, hence I would have to take that semester off. I'm a semester ahead in credit and don't need the credit to graduate on time still, so I would simply take that semester off from class and just have the internship. Would law schools look at this positively, negatively, or neutrally?

Should I get my BA or JD?

I have my AA from a Junior College. There are part-time Law Schools (San Francisco Law and Empire Law etc..)that will accept someone with their AA. Should I transfer to a four year and get my BA then go to law school? Is a JD better than a BA? Are Law practices more likely to just hire someone with a BA before their JD? Or does it matter..... if you pass the Bar you pass the Bar right?

Fall 2010 Law School Admissions Advice!

I just graduated from UVa this past spring with a 3.45 gpa. I am taking the LSAT in December and should get around a 160, and will be applying to law school to begin in fall of 2010.

I am applying to law schools ranging in rankings from number 8 all the way to 50 and 60. How can I increase my chances of being accepted within the top 30-35? Aside from giving you all information about my grades and LSAT score, I have loads of leadership and service experience, and I am currently working as a legal assistant at a law firm. I see myself as being a candidate at many of these top 30-35 schools (mostly around the 30-35 mark), but being borderline...

Any thoughts or recommendations to boost my application? Also, any recommendations for which schools I should apply to?
