For the second supplemental essay I chose to write about Ilya Prigogine's quote; however, I realized that I could not possibly convey everything I wanted to in 250 words. Do you think admissions would mind if I chose to write this essay for the Common App under "Topic of your choice"?

music supplement deadline for non music majors?

I want to send in a music supplement even though I am not planning on being a music major or minor. I just received an email from UVA saying that their Arts Supplements are due December 1st for students planning on being Music Majors/minors. Does this mean that I can send my supplement in later since I am technically not intending to major in music? - they did not specify. It would be nice to just be able to turn in my music supplement along with my Common App when Regular Decision rolls around. Anyone know if I HAVE to turn it in by Dec. 1?

Thanks!

Can a major in Human Development lead to med school???

Hey guys I am a junior in high school so I will soon be starting the process of college admissions. I was curious if I could get any info if Human Development is a major offered in UVA because I tried looking on their majors offering and didn't know which category this would fall in?? If Human Development is not a major, which major in your opinion would be the closest to this field???

My goal is to become a pediatrician, but I was wondering, if taking Human Development as my Major would hurt my chances for med school because I took a non science major. The thing is I really like Human Development and feel I can excel in it compared to other majors..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

Must be an interesting meeting. When you add the state support per student and instate tuition you get the amount UVa spends on education per student--and can see how profitable OOS kids are.
