I just like hearing the horror stories. The majority of the interns here rave about how good the have it compared to friends and roommates. We pay for their lunch and transportation to and from work.

So what is your best/worst internship experience?

Marketing Internship with Facebook application

Hello all,

I have finally found an internship that I really, really want! My major is marketing and this internship allows me to do exactly what I want without running coffee all day. I need to prove my marketing abilities by getting as many people as possible to sign up for a new Facebook application called SpiffBox. It's completely free to join and you can make valuable business contacts to help find a job. With the economy, any little thing helps right now! The website also helps to get to know many people outside of your normal social circle and make money while doing it. It only takes 2 minutes to join and I would really appreciate the help! If you use the promo code UMF2009 while signing up, you get an extra 270 points and I will have a great shot at getting this internship.

Please help!

Hi,

I'm an international student from a European country, I wish to work in UK after graduation. I am going after an B.A CPA degree in USA. As for my first two years I will go to a community college, mainly to keep the cost down and that my grades from gymnasium is pretty bad. As for my third and forth year I would like to transfer to another college or university.

Do I need to attend a college or university with a certain accredation then? And my first two years at community college, does that also need a certain accreditation?

I am sure more questions will show up, but not for the moment, thank you.

Sincerely,

Internships & Volunteering in West Virginia

I live in the small town of Bridgeport, West Virginia. I need to get volunteer hours for National Honor Society, but my options seem very limited. Almost everyone volunteers either at the local hospital or soup kitchen. Honestly, though, I'm not very interested in helping at either one of these places. I would like to find other opportunities nearby, if they exist. I'm open to anything; any suggestions would be awesome!

Also, I'd like to find an internship. I've already interned at a local television news station. I took that internship because I thought that I wanted to pursue a journalism degree; it turns out that that internship was incredibly helpful because now I have completely changed my mind. I'm now thinking about sociology/anthropology. I'd like to find something related to that field. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to post. Thanks!
