Transferring into Berkeley as an Economics Major this spring. Wondering if anyone knows anything about Berkeley's Accounting Courses. Of course I know Berkeley is good at recruiting (1 in 4 report accepting into the Big 5/4).

I just want to know generally, will these classes usually drop my GPA just becase they are intense. Should I try to do them if I'm only somewhat interested in accounting? haha

Any feedback in general would be much appreciated!

thanks, Kris

I'm a student at a southern Cali cc and wanted to hear some input on getting accepted as a transfer

my stats:
hs - dismal GPA & SAT but I know they don't count...

one year at uni abroad in the middle east after high school - 85% average about but I don't think most of the classes will transfer anyway

now at ccc with 4.0 GPA and don't plan on finishing up all my coursework with anything lower than a 3.8...at worst.

Want to study political economy or political science at Cal

Got plenty of background experience interning and being active in local level politics and even some experience on international level.

Dare I say I'm competitive as a transfer applicant? What can I do to more effectively guarantee myself a place at Cal?

Thanks
