First of all, am I the only one who gets paranoid after coming here!?

Now the fun part:

GPA: 4.0 unweighted, 4.25 weighted
SAT/ACT: 2080 (720 writing, 730 reading, 630 math)/31 (32 super-34 reading/writing, 32 math, 28 sci)
SAT II: 780 US History, waiting for result of Lit and German w/ Listening
Class Rank: Valedictorian
Taken the hardest classes at my school (even though we don't have a lot): Honors Eng, Dual Enrollment Eng/US History, Honors Geom/Algebra, precal/calc, physics, Honors/AP Bio
School: haven't ever sent anyone to an Ivy, 98% stay in state (of the 60% that go to college)
White, female
EC's: Yearbook Editor-3yr member, President StuCo-4yr member, 3yr Key Club member, President FCA-4yr member, Tech Team-4yr member, started mock trial and model UN, do a bunch of community service through this stuff but don't have a definitive record of hours signed by anyone -- *DO I NEED ONE???*
Honors: academic letters in English(3), math(3), science(3), and social studies(1); National Merit Commended, National German Honor Society, National Honor Society, Girls State delegate (Party chairwoman) and nominated for Girls Nation (and asked to come back as a counselor), nominated Miss AHS (my school, by teachers not students)
Work experience: for Tech we work around the school during summer and breaks, tutor a seventh grader 3x a week
Recs: made me cry
Interview: I thought it went well
Essay: everyone who's read it says its really good

So there you go! Sorry :( I'm applying to Columbia, but also Georgetown SFS, NYU, Tufts, and American. I want to study International Relations or something similar. What do you think?

So, I live in John Jay which is definitely not the "antisocial" dorm. It's hard to concentrate in my room, and I'm looking for places other than Butler, which is too crowded anyway.

I really like Avery, the catalog room, and the subject-based reading rooms in Butler. Any other places on campus that are just as deathly quiet and cozy?
