hey everyone. I just received my acceptance letter today and it said that i was in a small group that found out early, but that i wont get my packet until april 1st. So i assume that some people are hearing back this week or April 1st. Did anyone also hear back ?
My daughter also received the acceptance letter today which states to look for the official packet by April 1st. Thank goodness she saw on facebook yesterday that these acceptances were arriving as a single letter in a small envelope. She has been thinking that would have been a bad sign. Not sure why they did it this way, perhaps they are still working on financial aid packets and didn't want the students to accept offers to other schools in the meantime.
Best of luck to all of those still waiting, hopefully some good news will come your way in the next few days.
I received my acceptance today! Honestly, one of the most exciting moments of my life, haha. Such a nice relief to finally be able to see I was accepted.
I hadn't heard it was a single letter so I opened my mailbox today and there was this huge envelope. I got all excited and then I saw it was just from another school and the excitement was gone. I pulled the rest of the mail out and as I was driving away I spotted the FIT logo on the corner of one of the small envelopes! I was a little worried because all of this time I've been really confident about getting in. But, YAY!
I still have not received my acceptance letter. A while back I looked on my f.i.t. login account at the financial aid status stuff and it was empty. I looked at it again today and things had been added such as a estimated cost of everything and it said I had a loan interview I could complete during orientation week. I'm not sure if this was automatically put on everyone's but it could be a good sign of being accepted?
I applied to FIT as well..
I had a 3.7 gpa & i had my sketches reviewed by one of the admissions officers and he said he was a great portfolio.. but i havent gotten any "early" acceptance so I'm getting really nervous...
Well, SATs aren't considered in the decision process but I have a 3.9 GPA.

I was also in a special fashion program at the career and technology center (like a votech center if that helps anyone?) That is mostly what I wrote my essay about. Oh, and I have an independent study which I created in fashion marketing.
What are your stats?
Oh and did anyone else get into the honors program?
I wanted to find out about the acceptance letters from F.I.T. I saw that some of you have received your letters...congratulations! I was curious if you live close to NYC or New England? I live in the Midwest and I'm trying to figure out if I'm one of the unlucky ones or if its just a postal thing.
Jenno67, We live in New Jersey and my daughter received acceptance last week. But from what I have seen on Facebook, acceptances are still being received each day, so don't lose hope.
Futurefit, daughter didn't apply to honors program but is regretting that she didnt. I wonder if she still may have that option or if its too late? Are there certain classes you must take as an honor student, I know that my oldest daughter (in a different college) had to select from a predetermined set of classes each semester, it was a requirement of the honors program.
My daughter did not apply for the honors program either. We wish that she had now. She was accepted to an honors program in Boston...she's decided not to attend. F.I.T. is her first choice and if that fails she has been accepted to The Savannah College of Art and Design. We are just keeping our fingers crossed at this point. She took one of FIT's summer classes and just fell in love with the school and the program. I'll post back when we hear!
