Why can't I check my SAR?

Hey,

I recently got the e-mail that said my 2011-2012 FAFSA was processed and that the SAR is available online. When I check my 2010-2011 it lets me see my SAR and EFC. But when I click View Processed Information on the 2011-2012 nothing happens..the page just refreshes and stays on that screen. Also toward the bottom, it only says Make Corrections but on the other years' it says that and also Change Schools, etc.

Thanks!

I was having trouble with ours also. My girls fafsa's were processed but I can't view them online.
If you know you did the 2011-12 and got the emails, you can call and speak to someone to double-check or use the automated guide if it's after hours.
I think they are having little snafoos with the new fafsa but it doesn't hurt to check.

I do lots and lots of FAFSAs (74 at last count) as an inner city admissions counselor, and I have had that problem recurringly. It seems to happen on my older (though not that old) computers. You just go round and round as you describe. All the computers I use run Win XP, but the one on which we can actually examine (and print) the SAR, has MS Office 2007 (I think). That may be the secret. I have not fully figured it out yet (we just switch computers to see the SAR). The other ones have an older version of MS Office.

I had the same problem, and it was because I had pop-ups blocked (I have a Mac). When I disabled the pop-up blocker, the SAR came up in a new window. Hope that helps!

I have Vista and 2007 office. My girls have 2010, but I didn't try it on their laptop.

I will try the popup blocker, that worked for someone else too when they manually did it.

I had the same problem with my PC. I turned off the pop-up blocker and then it worked. If you use Mozilla Firefox, you click Tools-->Options-->Content-->then check off "block pop-up windows". If you use Internet Explorer, you click on Tools-->Pop-up blocker-->Turn off pop-up blocker.

Turn off pop-up blockers, and use Internet Explorer. I have also heard that Google Chrome works well for viewing FAFSA info.

If you still have difficulty, try this:

Hold the Ctrl key down when you click view SAR and continue holding it down (without releasing it) till the SAR pdf file loads completely and you can view it.

This overrides pop-up blocker and has always worked for me using ie8 on winXp. Turning off pop-up blocker did not help.

Student Aid Report. It's generated after your FAFSA is processed, and it has the EFC & comments on it.

Finally got it to work using tips. Thank you. You knew more than the fafsa staff. : )
Getting IDOC paperwork together and then hopefully putting it all away for a while.

Got it, also. The newer SAR opens in a PDF and for some reason wasn't opening with Safari (pop-up blocker off) so I had to use IE. And no, you can't use Chrome for filling/checking a FAFSA (even though its the best browser :P.)

Question: Am I supposed to fill out the information that has an "h" on it? I had the Simplified Test, by the way.

Sar

I used googled Chrome to file my fafsa and it worked fine. However I cannot access my SAR and I don't know why. When I log in to FAFSA it only gives me options to edit, there is no fafsa follow up option or a view/print student aid report and i don't know where else to look.
