Average #of Scholarships?

How many scholarships has everyone applied for since Junior year? I mean scholarships requiring an application not the merit ones everyone gets considered for when you apply. I'm wondering if my school is oddly apathetic because most kids have done from 0-3 and think I'm nuts for doing over 10. Am I an outlier?

I think most kids may apply to one or two and others like yourself go all out and apply to many. I did not push my S to apply to a lot because he had received a large merit scholarship from his school. Remember that many of the outside scholarships are only good for one year. Every little bit helps, but you can't depend on that money all 4 years. (in most cases). Good luck, with so many kids apathetic about applying your chances of winning increase.
